Chris Johnson
Managing Director
Chris Johnson is a proud Gunditjmara and Wiradjuri man with a lifelong commitment to empowering Indigenous Australians through education, skills development, and meaningful employment. In 2022, Chris launched a strategic partnership with SKS Technologies to establish SKS Indigenous Technologies, a majority Indigenous owned and Supply Nation certified business delivering end-to-end audio visual, communications and electrical solutions across Australia.
Chris brings extensive leadership experience, having served as Head of Engagement and Communication for the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria and as a Key Client Executive for RAW Group. His influence extends beyond business, Chris is a three time AFL Premiership player with the Brisbane Lions, a two time All Australian, and a member of the Indigenous Team of the Century. His decorated sporting career has shaped his passion for mentoring the next generation of Indigenous leaders and athletes. Chris also served as Co-Chair of the Reconciliation Action Plan for AFL Victoria, further demonstrating his commitment to driving positive change.
For over a decade, Chris has delivered national youth and community programs, including his ongoing support for AFL Cape York House for Boys & Girls. Each year, the Chris Johnson Cup sees students and SKS Indigenous Technologies staff travel from Cairns to Bamaga for clinics and competitions, creating lasting impact in remote communities.

Jason Mifsud
Director
As a proud Kirrae, Peek and Tjab Whurrong person of the Gunditjmara nation in south-west Victoria, Jason Mifsud developed a strong sense of purpose from a very early age. Through his parents, and community Elders, he grew up understanding the importance of role models, setting goals, and a can-do attitude matched with a strong work ethic. Jason is driven to ensure that Indigenous people get a fair go and deserve a fair go, an equal go. That the principle of self-determination is a realistic goal, and that Indigenous people can see themselves in the world of business, making a real difference to their own lives, the lives of their families and the community more broadly.

Matthew Jinks
Director
Matthew, an alumnus of Harvard Business School who holds a Master of Business Administration with a major in Finance, joined the SKS Technologies Group in April 2013 as the Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for managing all aspects of the company’s financial and operational activities.
Prior to joining the senior management team of SKS Technologies Group, Matthew held the position of Executive General Manager Finance and one of the Directors of KLM Group, then owned by Programmed Maintenance Ltd, managing all aspects of the business financials. Matthew began his journey as an apprentice electrician for KLM Group. Over a 16-year period he progressed through the business gaining extensive experience in all aspects of management and business operations within the Electrical, Communications and Audio Visual industry.

Peter Jinks
Chairman and Director
Peter brings 40 years of industry experience as an industry leader, NECA council member, and executor of high level policy, resource, operational and strategic visions. Peter co-founded the KLM Group Limited in 1981 and was Managing Director until August 2012 when it was acquired by ASX-listed Programmed.

Gary Beaton
Chief Financial Officer
Gary is a CPA who has over 30 years of experience as a construction and project accountant and has previously worked for six years with the SKS Technologies Group management team as Chief Financial Officer of their former business KLM Group. Gary previously worked at Clough Engineering group and most recently, Gary completed an 18-month contract with Spotless Group to affect the consolidation of the construction component of a suite of Downer EDI businesses and subsidiary acquisitions. Gary joined the group as the new chief financial officer and was appointed as the company secretary on 13 December 2019.
